Here is a Lionel 6520 Vintage O Lionel Lines Maroon Generator Operating Searchlight Car, from 1949-51. This is the version with a maroon generator which is slightly harder to find than the one with the orange generator, but not as difficult s the green generator version. The 6520 searchlight car was the first searchlight car produced by Lionel in the postwar era. It is a good representation of a real searchlight car. The light has an on/off switch underneath that can be activated by a Lionel UCS track section (not included). This car features a rotating searchlight, die-cast metal trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This car has been re-painted. The searchlight’s paint texture is very rough with rashes present. The lens on the searchlight is cracked. This car shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This car shows rust on the chassis and trucks.
